Superior Dry Goods' all-natural lip balms do not contain artificial flavors or sweeteners. Our vegan wax base is carnauba free. We use a blend of two natural waxes derived from the protective wax coating found on the berries of the Japanese wax or "lacquer" trees. These waxes are emollient, creamy, and perfect for use in vegan cosmetics. Meadowfoam seed oil absorbs readily into skin and hair, and is incredibly soothing and gentle. It's for these reasons that we've included it in all of our vegan lip and beard products.
 
Superior Dry Goods' premium paper lip balm containers are sticker-free and plastic-free, and hold more lip balm than drugstore brand plastic tubes, despite the shorter proportion of the cardboard tube. Looks can be deceiving! To use, simply apply pressure to the bottom of the tube and push the balm up, as needed (like a push-pop!).
 
Vegan Orange Blossom Lip Balm:
Superior Dry Goods' luxury Vegan Orange Blossom Lip Balm contains a dizzying number of botanical super-star moisturizing ingredients. Every ingredient has been carefully curated to repair and soothe chapped lips, maintain smoothness, and protect against dryness and environmental damage. This balm is slick, rich and long-lasting. Neroli essential oil, one of the most prized and expensive essential oils for both aromatherapy and skin benefits makes a cameo appearance in this luxurious vegan balm. Neroli has been used for centuries to heal damaged skin, promote skin cell regeneration, and to boost elasticity. It's hypnotic citrus-floral scent is one of the most calming scents in aromatherapy.
 
Helichrysum Organic Lip Balm
Superior Dry Goods' Helichrysum lip balm contains 2% Helichrysum italicum, which is is also called "Immortelle," named for the long-lasting yellow flowers on this famous medicinal plant. Used for centuries as a natural herbal remedy, helichrysum is thought to promote skin renewal, soothe inflammation, and act as a mild antiseptic. The essential oil of helichrysum flowers is very precious, since each petal must be hand-picked. No wonder this flower was dried and offered up to the gods by the Greeks! Natural compounds found in helichrysum include terpenes, flavonoids, and anti-oxidants. Our helichrysum essential oil is a blend sourced from Corsica and Bosnia, and contains both organically-cultivated as well as wild-sourced flowers (i.e. grown in nature without human intervention). We use a generous 2% therapeutic concentration to maximize the healing properties of this wonderful ingredient in our Helichrysum Lip Balm. Our organic Helichrysum Lip Balm also includes skin-healing cocoa butter, mango butter, sweet almond oil and natural beeswax. To make it extra special, we've also added Evening Primrose Oil, which is renowned for its skin-rejuvenating properties. This is a truly  serious lip condititioner! The natural scent and flavor of helichrysum is tea-like, and we like to add a drop or two of organic lemon essential oil to enhance the herbal effect. In aromatherapy, helichrysum is considered to be healing and calming, and we agree.
 
Blue Tansy Vegan Lip Balm
Blue Tansy essential oil is the star ingredient of Superior Dry Goods'  botanical-based lip treatment. The yellow flowers from the Blue Tansy plant, Tanacetum annuum, are related to chamomile. The essential oil extracted from these blossoms is a vibrant blue color, thanks to a compound called chamazulene. Other compounds found in blue tansy extract include sabinene, camphor, myrcene, and pinene. It is widely believed that these botanical compounds posess anti-inflammatory benefits, as well as the ability to increase skin healing. Our organic blue tansy oil is sourced from Morocco, and we use a generous 2% therapeutic concentration to maximize the healing properties of this wonderful ingredient.
Our vegan Blue Tansy Lip Balm base is 75% organic, and includes skin healing cocoa butter, mango butter, sweet almond oil and meadowfoam seed oil. (The blue color will not transfer to the lips.) This balm is long-lasting and will soften and heal chapped lips in record time.
