About Our Lip Balm Tubes

Thank you for considering a greener alternative to plastic lip balm tubes! We'd like to share some information about using paperboard push-up tubes, so you'll know what to expect when using these eco-friendly tubes.

  1. For the first use, you may need to use a little more force than usual to push the balm up. A slow and gentle push upward should do it!

  2. Paper turns darker when exposed to waxes and oil, i.e., the ingredients in lip balm. You can expect the rim of your tube to absorb some of the product, and the change in color is normal.

  3. If you ever accidentally push your balm up too much, the best thing to do is put it in the refrigerator for about half an hour (or until the balm feels very firm) before gently pushing it back down. Using the cap is a good way to push it down (if you don’t want to use your finger). If you can’t wait, that’s okay! However, depending on the temperature, the balm may squish a bit when you push it back down.

  4. No lip product, paperboard or otherwise, likes to get hot. Please don’t leave your lip balm in hot cars, purses, luggage, etc.

  5. Please don’t leave your paperboard lip balm near standing water. If your tube gets a little wet, just dry it off using a soft towel- it should be fine.

  6. This is a natural product. We hope you enjoy it! If you have any problems or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at:  info@superiordrygoods.shop.
